The Giza Plateau has 3 main pyramids: the Pyramid of Khufu (the largest and most famous), the Pyramid of Khafre (which has the best panoramic viewpoint over the whole plateau), and the smaller Pyramid of Menkaure. All three were built as tombs for Fourth Dynasty pharaohs.
The Great Sphinx: a massive statue carved from a single rock, with a lion's body and a king's head, standing guard at the plateau's eastern entrance — the closest direct photo spot is right in front of it.
The Valley Temple: a small mortuary temple next to the Sphinx, one of the oldest preserved stone buildings in Egypt.
Best time to visit: early morning (at opening) before the heat and crowds, or an hour before sunset for golden-hour photos.
Panoramic photo spots: there's a well-known viewpoint a bit further from the plateau that lines up all three pyramids in one frame — tour drivers know it well and will stop there.
Camel and horse rides: available on the plateau, but agree on the price clearly before riding to avoid surprises.
Getting there: a private car with a driver is far easier than public transport — your driver drops you at the nearest entry point and waits through your whole visit with no time pressure.
